Mortal Man

Mortal man is blessed with life to have made him a living soul.

He then decides either to live the soul life or the God given life – Zoe.

The blessedness of sleeping and a seemingly definite waking up.

Has forced the fact that mortal man is but few days into his subconsciousness or unconsciousness.

Why then must it be called a “few days”?

Few days could be days, several months or even many years.

Few days compared with eternity is nowhere to be found.

Mortal man’s life “is even a vapor…”

“...That appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

Mortal man born of a woman is of few days.

Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city…”

“…Spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit.”

Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”

“But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.”

Mortal man’s day is full of trouble.

“He comes forth like a flower and fades away.”

“He flees like a shadow and does not continue.”

“His days are determined, the number of his months is with God.”

“God have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.”

“All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass.”

“The grass withers, and its flower falls away.”

Mortal man is destined to suffer corruption(death) in his flesh.

“For out of it(dust) you were taken; For dust you are, and to dust you shall return.”

“For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.”

This is the least of the knowledge that mortal man ought to know and retain.

The graphical line of man’s life seemingly seems increasing.

From infancy to being a toddler.

Into teenage, then adolescence and finally adulthood.

But in the actual sense, it’s diminishing.

The marked out length for man’s life reduces daily.

As age increases, the total number of years left reduces.

There could be exemptions.

In the likes of Enoch, Elijah, Jesus and supposedly Moses.

Live that God given life then He can quicken your mortal body.

Live a life worth referencing, as our works will be judged accordingly.
